Lol, someone trying to say I have limited experience with shooters? That's a real treat. And I played Killzone 2 multiplayer for at least a good 30 total hours when I had it. Enough to play either every class and rank available. Trust me, there was nothing original about it. It had large maps and 32 players which has been done before, a class system very similar to Team Fortress, although I agree it did fit a lot better with Killzone 2, the basic controls were pretty standard CoD shooter controls, the gametypes were nothing that hadn't been done before (CTF, deathmatch, the one with arming and disarming bombs, capturing spawn points, etc). I'm not trying to say it was a bad game. In fact I quite enjoyed it for the most part! I'm just being honest when I say it didn't really do anything innovative, and that no shooter these days really does. The formula works and each shooter only slightly adjusts that.

I can't remember a shooter that blends the gameplay types like killzone does. IE ther's no interlude or break between each gametype. Not even a respawn.
Furthermore the clan system.. well i've never seen a clan system built into a game like killzone 2's clan system.
