There is a reason why the summer time is the dead season for TV and its because people are too busy doing other things then staying at home. And another reason is that the vast majority of the population are not hardcore game players, and just like how CD's and DVD's have a large spike in sales around the holidays so do videogames because they make easy decent gifts, then in the early part of the year people still have left over giftcards.
