Heavy Rain still seems like a deep psychological horror game to me like a David Lynch film. And The Last Guardian looks like it will be a breathtaking work of art.
However, what I saw of Alan Wake reminded me more of a Saturday night B horror movie on the Sci-Fi Channel(much like the storylines of most popular games on the 360 -- Gears pretty much is the same. Halo has deeper aspects The Forerunners that haven't been fully developed).
