I am glad you feel that way, but in a free country, you should not be allowed to pass laws that that force others to trade 4000 for those services.

It would be closer to ok if everyone paid 4000, but that's not how it works. Millions of people will pay nothing, and millions will pay the 4000 for them. That means a portion of this county becomes indentured.

I prefer not to trade my liberty for provisions. I would rather have the freedom to earn them myself.

Actually we already have them, their called taxes, and they are a requirement of society, if you don't like it you're welcome to move into the amazon or something and cut yourself off from society, then you will have all your freedoms

I am happy to pay 60% of my salary in taxes, if that's what it took for the government to protect me. I am not happy to pay 1% for the government to provide for me.

Taxing people should be to collect the funds required to run the county for it’s intended purpose. To protect individuals. It should never be collected to provide for individuals.

That’s why the US is not called the motherland or the fatherland. Those titles are reserved for communist, socialist, and fascist countries.

We used to be called The Land of Opportunity, because our government didn’t take from its people to provide for them. It allowed the people the freedom to prosper and provide for themselves.

I would love to see those freedoms returned to me, so we could once again be called The Land of Opportunity. 

In my humble opinion, the bolded part inspires laziness, and then we will all fail as a country.
