Can't say I cared for the game when I tried playing it in the past (version 2.8 or whatever), but I'll give AA3 a shot for the heck of it. Even though the gameplay trailer looks mediocre when compared to other games, but it is free... But that shouldn't be a free pass.
The whole thing being a recruitment tool kind of ruins the game aspect of it in my opinion. This leads to something I dislike, you always see yourself as an army soldier and the other team ALWAYS looks like generic ski mask bad guys. This also bugs me because your team ALWAYS uses weapons like M16's, but the enemy team uses AK's and since you can pick those up, it just feels really weird when you consider that everybody see's themselves as using American firearms. Due to this, I found the laser tag gameplay mode to be pretty interesting since the enemies look like your team mates instead of generic enemies, but they wear dark green uniforms instead of cammo.
I do find the training missions interesting in how they try to be serious (though in a laughable way) while teaching you how to play the game and how you're required to complete training missions to use things in online gameplay. The SF sneaking mission was a pain in the ass though because the enemy soldiers could somehow see a small bit of your body from a long distance through tree's and bushes causing you to have to restart the mission/checkpoint.
The gameplay is decent and I really hate movement speeds (especially if you take some damage.... dear god). Again, since it's more of a recruitment tool, the game experience feels lacking.
