been that way since pc days with ultima vs final fantasy
one lets you role play, one is like a choose your own adventure book
wrpgs are true role playing
jrpgs are somethign else
so if you like role playing, its wrpgs ALL the way, to actually have that freedom.
Last year's game of the year turned out to be Silent Hill : Shattered Memories (online GOTY was COD 6). This year's GOTY leader to me is Heavy Rain.
