"""Huh? Is there anyone saying the PS2 started off slow?"""

Oh yeah. There's a whole group repeating this mantra that PS2 launched slow, and GC launched fast, and this is exactly the same thing we're witnessing today.

Absolute garbage if you look at the numbers, but certainly you've seen the people saying it, here and elsewhere.

Reminds me of political party talking points. Go out into enough outlets repeating a certain mantra and eventually you can change popular opinion. At least that's the plan

The Daily Show showcases this all the time. Always funny.

Hannity & Colmes: Swiftboat, flip-flop, wasn't actionable

Wolf Blitzer: Swiftboat, flip-flop, wasn't actionable

Hardball w/ Chris Matthews: Swiftboat, flip-flop, wasn't actionable

O'Reilly Factor: Swiftboat, flip-flop, wasn't actionable

Scarborough Country: Swiftboat, flip-flop, wasn't actionable

Today Show: Swiftboat, flip-flop, wasn't actionable

David Letterman: Swifboat, flip-flop, wasn't actionable...and that completes our Top Ten! Paul Schaeffer!

Live with Regis and Kelly: Swiftboat, flip-flop, wasn't actionable...now let's bake a pie!

Nickolodeon News for Kids: Swiftboat ooh!, flippy-flop, no no action able

GEICO Caveman News: glyph of a swift boat, glyph of a sandal, glyph of a stick figure standing still

Pathetic.

John Lucas

The Geico guy isn't a caveman. One ad showed he lives in an apartment, so he's getting offended over nothing. After all, the slogan is not, "So easy, a neanderthal could do it."

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
