Oxymeth - You aren't saying it's not a spin off though. You're just saying why it might not be one. Yeah, there were 3 main characters. But they were all the same story line. (I can't believe I'm going to repeat this one again) THE SNAKE SAGA! Naked Snake/Big Boss was a main character who solid snake is a clone of... So the main characters are already similar and influenced the story and intertwined and then the one where Raiden was a main character the Bad Guy was still the Snake Saga because he was another Snake clone. So I'll say it again... if MGSR doesn't continue the Snake saga then its a spin off.

So even though Raiden has previously played the main character in an MGS game, for some magical reason this game is a spin off? lol I love fanboys trying to reason, it's almost as entertaining as watching cartman try to fly :)
