Albonius has it right. The numbers just ain't there. This is no disrespect to R&C - by all accounts it's an excellent series, and it's a crying shame that only one of the titles could sell over 1 million copies, and then just barely, on a system with an eventual user base in the neighborhood of 100 million.
Mario Sunshine sold over 5 million, despite some harsh criticism from gamers (to be fair, it did get very good reviews overall), on a console than barely squeaked past 20 million.
Now you have the Wii with more than twice the user base, all the press and good will, and a devoted fan base salivating for a crack at the most recognizable mascot since Mickey Mouse, while the PS3 is can't buy a good word and it's fans are desperate for something to break out.
Sure, there's the off chance that the stars will align just so for R&C, but only a fool would bet against the plumber.
