"Hardcore players" are the often the ones who most enjoy upgrading hardware, tweaking the framerate, etc etc.
And, I've said this before, but I'll say it again... there's nothing to prevent people from owning BOTH. If you choose sides, the only guarantee I can make is you're missing something on the other side.
