The PS3 is really catching up the Xbox 360 in Europe.

Well, that chart shows that the PS3  - before the latest pricecut - had oversold the 360 by about 2.4M in 19 months.

Thus, to close the current gap (1.3M) at the same rate it would take about 10 months.
