I just don't understand why they can't just do stencil shading for the grass and be done with it, 360 and PS3 are powerful enough to pull it off at a good distance, why not just do it for the lands with grass? I mean, people play the newest FF to see beautiful things, the character models are nice, and so are the industrial areas, but what's up with the grass lands?
