Intriguing... it's so hard to figure out why you would rig an election for puppet ruler.  I suppose as a puppet ruler you are still given a lot of lattitude in iran.

Well, not the traditional military. The Revolutionary Guards and the Basij. Really, the Guards have much political and economic power. If they wanted to rig the election, they would have the power to perpetrate it. 

Yeah after reading it, it makes sense and jives with everything else i've read.
