After seeing comsumers willingness to have balance boards, guitars, drum sets, and all other sorts of extra accesories I'm not sure shelf space would be as big of a problem as you think. A video game toy box with game accessories would be no more a problem than the toy boxes that every household with children has. I think if the games are fun something like this might not really matter.
