1. I don't think they would go to a SSD as that is still rather expensive. Instead I would see internal flash drive w/ SD card slot for expansion as a more practical solution if they went away from regular HDD.
2. I doubt it would carry a regular DVD drive. Probably more likely a bluray or one of the many other large capacity HD type of drives that are not Sony property and still could easily play DVDs.
Other than those two things, everything else seems plausible as it would allow a sub-$300 pricing at launch next year and probably still give the ability to make a slimmer design.
