Looks like I have my day cut out for me defending X-2 
It gots the same elements of previous final Fantasies ( improved job system).
System battle was fresh and fast paced. One of my personal favorites.
First sequel to any FF. EVER!
Could be cheezy at moments, but really, what FF wasn't? But the story was intriguing! The search for Tidus and solving the mystery of his disappearnce alone was more than enough to keep any fan of X going.

As I mentioned earlier, had one of the richest sidequest of any FF! Which consisted of mystery solving, coin flipping, blitz ball, revealing Paine's past, etc.
I think people that hate this game can't get over the fact that females are the lead roles, thats why its heavily criticized all the time.
