GT5:P is just that...a prolouge. but that doesn't mean that GT5 will be bad, i think it will definitely live up to its name. But truly i would say save up for both GT5 and Forza 3....both are gonna be triple A games, and offer an awesome unique experience. I'll lay it out for you for what both games have/are rumoured to have.
GT5--Amazing graphics, 600+ cars, 100-200 tracks, 16 people racing online, 60fps, 1080P, many tuning options, and it will now have damage. It has nascar racing, rally racing, and normal GT racing.
Forza 3--Amazing graphics, 400 cars, 100 tracks, 8 player online races, 60 fps, 720P, a huge amount of tuning options, and extreme customization of cars (meaning you can pretty much pain whatever you could possibly think of on your cars), a video editor, has damage+rollover, and it will be more forgiving for noobs (an ingame rewinder so if you crash you can just rewind). And you will be able to do normal GT-like racing.
