If they did that, it wouldn't even be playable. Remaking games for less powerful systems is not easy. You have to remake all code and assets from scratch. Just because a lot of gamers think that's easy and you can just slap them together doesn't make it so.

The irony of course if back in the day all arcade ports had to be redone for the consoles. Street Fighter II on the SNES was downgraded from the arcade version but still played well. 

I know! All the sprites had to be recoded for all the systems. And many games got major downgraded put on other systems. Imagine if Contra came out for the NES with gamers like this. They'd tear it apart for losing the original game's 16-bit look (it was an arcade game originally). Who cares if it played just as well. Konami obviously just rushed it.



A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
