a mouse.  If you look at the Dev walkthroughs, gameplay looks to be a combination of SCUMM games (for exploring) and Dragons Lair (fighting/action events).  Obviously, the moving/investigating/speech choices have been adapted for a joystick, but they could be done very well point and click style.  The action events (QTE) would have to be rethought out a bit, but could still be done with movements and button presses.

Being a huge fan of Lucasarts adventure games (DoTT expecially), I would love a resurgence of these types of games.  Hell, with that level of graphics, I would like to see a new interactive Indy adventure - think Fate of Atlantis with Heavy Rain production qualities.

Now, I'm sure some of the true "fans" of the game will come in and bash this post, and I mean no offense, but - if you think about it - it could really work.

And, if a mouse would work, what about motion controls - that is relatively easy to add to a mouse game.
