Originally I would have said if the Halo: Recon details was for $60, then no deal.

Now however, from recent reports we are getting the following:

Full length campaign of 10+ hours (also depends on difficulty and cutscenes)
New weapons and characters
3 new mp maps + ALL the old maps from Halo 3
New Firefight mode (hoard style)
Free Halo: Reach multiplayer beta entry

That seems to warrant a full price tag to me. It actually appears to be more of a full title rather than an expansion. I'm surprised they didn't drop the 3 and just call it Halo: ODST but I guess the multiplayer tie-in is probably why.
