When it comes to making statements about how things are, or will be, Sony is Mighty Casey at the Bat: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Casey_at_the_Bat
The beloved Casey, Mudville's star player, is so confident in his abilities that he doesn't swing at the first two pitches, both strikes. On the last pitch, the overconfident Casey strikes out, ending the game and sending the crowd home unhappy.
Of course, with Sony, there may be swinging going on. Maybe it is more like they are pointing to fences to where they will send the ball over as it is coming to the plate.
