Sony has stated on multiple occasions their hope and intention of releasing GT5 this holiday. If the game is anywhere near as ready as Yamauchi suggests it is, then there pretty much is no way the game won't by out by Christmas, just as Amar's hint suggested.

And for everyone thinking that GT5's lack of a presence at E3 means the game has little chance of releasing this year, I'd also like to share this clip of an interview with Yamauchi done by Ahmed Al Azmi, the winner of the GT5: Prologue Middle East Challange late last year.

First of all I asked him about the Nurburgring. When its coming, and what is taking it so long? And I told him that alot of people are waiting for such a great track.

Kazunori simply said it's gonna be in GT5.

Then I said GT5?!!!! Oh my God!! Thats way to far from now.

Yamauchi: *laughs* "Why are you saying that?"

Azmi: "Because from of what I know is that the team still hasn't thought about even targeting a release date for GT5, and to be honest I don't believe GT5 will come within 2 years, which is a long time."

Yamauchi: "2 years?" *laughs* "No, no. Dont worry much about that, it's gonna be sooner than expected."

Azmi: "Any hint about when?"

He laughed again and said soon.

And then later in the same interview...

Yamauchi: "We just released the Spec III update and about future updates there is for sure."

Azmi: "Is it soon?"

Yamauchi: *smiles* "We will anounce it in our website before there is any update, but we will only anounce the information just before an update is goin to be released in a couple of days like what we did with Spec III. Even GT5 will release in the same way." *laughs* "We will do everything as a surprise."
