I've been really interested in the Yakuza series but I have never got to play them since they just won't sell them outside of japan. It will propably take years until the 3rd game gets released outside of japan, which sucks.
Your idea might as well work, it sound's fresh in the mmo-market and I would defo want to see it done. ;)
