Even if Sony has fully decided on a price cut. it will try its utmost not to let the public get any sort of an inkling of this news.
Its critical to their operations that the people are fully convinced that there is not going to be any price cut.
The reason? Well if credible rumors of a price cut start to emerge, their sales are going to be hammered and essentially their hand will be forced to implement a price cut possibly way sooner then they plan.
It is better to die on one's feet
then live on one's knees
