Phony strikes again.

Blu-Ray is not only useless for gaming but it resulted in PS3 being

An overpriced system
with slower transfer rates.

To crown the irony, it's not competitive for movies either..

The funny thing about this is that it was actually underpriced. Concidering it costed more to make. Atleast that's the logic.

@Kantor .. Noes ! how could you tell him of the time machine !.. you signed the pact !

Your logic merely takes costs into account, while sellers' logic aims to considerate as many market parameters as possible, which after adding and substracting are better denominated under the generic term: value.

Sony oversestimated their products' value while underestimating that of its' competitors, and they ended up with an overpriced machine.

Pricing is relative to value, not costs.

Yep and it wasn't overpriced compaired to value. Theres a difference between value and what consumers see as value :p

And with a price like the ps3 had, it could have a technological singuality and it'd still not sell more.
