Sony had 'no choice' but to include Blu-ray in PS3

I dont know if the PS3 is the main reason why HD-DVD is dead. I think it was the studios who fell back from supporting HD-DVD and joined the Blu Ray side that brought Toshiba to stop production of HD-DVD players, discs, etc, with anything involved with Toshiba's HD-DVD tech.

And why do you think the studios went the way they did?  If there were 4 million HD DVD players and half a million blu ray players which format do you think they would have supported?  The reason why the studios went Blu Ray was cause thanks to PS3 there were tons more blu ray players than HD DVD players.
