Since when was Dynasty Warriors not cool?
Okay, I take that back, the series has been repetitive since after DW4 (which is interesting because they only changed to the current gameplay system after the 3rd iteration). But DW has always been a series where you'll enjoy each and every new game even if you know for a fact that it's the same game with a new coat of paint on it.
This is probably not a bad idea, instead of re-releasing the same story (3 kingdoms era) they could release a new Warriors game every 1-2 for a different part of history. So by the time they return to DW, it'll seem fresh and interesting (because we wouldn't have fought the Yellow Turbans for 4 or 5 years).
