With this I agree, but I think the Wii-mote was an excellent choice, likewise I think Sony PS3's motion controller effort seems cool and Microsoft's Milo's recognition system was interesting if it were real (but it's not, everyone could imagine this would be possible at some point, but Microsoft is still too far off to be hyping this for their console).

Realistic steering will always be best done with a steering wheel, but it takes a lot of room, also having a sword, longbow, tennis racket, etc, etc (including stuff that can only be done virtually) in your living room.

lol, like how far off, 4 years?  Kind of how sony unveiled killzone 2 in 2005, but didn't release it till 2009?   

Why would it ever be too early to show something you are working on anyway?  It gets people excited about what the future possibilities are.
