While people always mention they're selling the PS3s at a loss,
It's still better to sell off their old stock, not selling them is an even bigger loss.
Plus, a PS3 in a customers hands is also a lot of potential exclusive purchases.
They want to release the PS3 slim, but once they release that, the chances of anyone buying an older machine will drop, unless there's a good price incentive.
