You're kidding right? Nintendo has the weakest lineup of the 3 in 2008 (well I guess SSBB will help if it's delayed in North America until next year) but so far the 360 has about 160 quality titles announced, the PS3 about 150 and the Wii about 55... So it's not like Monster Hunter 3, Mario Basebase (or whatever it's called), and some budget Wiiware titles are going to suddenly change all that. I mean feel free to gloat about Monster Hunter 3, but lets not get carried away. |
I agree, Legend. Obviously pulling something like Monster Hunter to the Wii is very good news, and clearly the Wii's lineup isn't quite as fully announced (especially in comparison to the PS3) -- so perhaps one day, things will look different. But for now, the Wii's lineup is noticably weaker than the 360 or PS3's lineups are.
Again, to quiet the objections: with each game that's announced for the Wii, this becomes less and less true. I think it's entirely possible that the Wii will have as good a lineup, all told, as the 360 or PS3 do, but that won't be true unless and until more games are announced. I personally expect the Wii's lineup to look a LOT better in 4 months than it does now, but I also expect it to still have at least a slightly less stellar lineup than the other two consoles all the way through next year.
