Even though I've never played MMORPGs, I'm still excited about this one, just because the trailer blew me away. The game looks stunning! I never played FFXI because I don't think it was ever released for the PS2 here in norway, and I don't like playing games on PC. I've only had my Xbox360 for six months, and it seems a bit late to start playing FFXI now. I was also under the impression that FFXI didn't feature a structured story, which is a turn off for me, but I've later learned that it actually has a pretty solid story, so I'm confident that FFXIV will deliver a fully immersive experience. |
This one is going to be awesome, there is still a fair share of people that play FFXI, accually. Of course it doesn't have as many people as WoW has or anything. It's going to be a great game, I know it.
See, here's the thing. I'm going to love FFXIII and FFXIII Versus, but, what happens once you beat them several times, and get all the trophies (considering there will probably be some, almost all games have them now), so what after that? The game sits on your shelf and you play it a few time's every few months or so.
When it's an online game, in this case, an MMORPG. An online MMORPG offers much more experience, leveling, getting gear, raiding bosses with friends, guilds, guild battles (if there is any), massive amounts of cities, player vs player, etc. You get my point right? It's just online has much more offer. I don't see what some people are so dissapointed about, selfish people.
