" I learned that natural selection was indeed true, and if natural selection is true, why couldn't species change over a long period of time. After that, my parents soon learned that i had started to believe in the concepts of evolution and told me that doing that will only get me to hell." " Being Christian's, they nailed down atheism saying that they have no morals, no rights of any kind." "One big turn around for me was when my Bible teacher taught me that homosexuality is an abomination, and began to belittle them. I began debating with him by replying" |
If you are born in a Christian family, then that first one is the toughest one for me. I haven't told my parents that i am atheist, but i have implied my beliefs to them, and plenty of them are not compromisable to Christians. I do not know when the best time to them is yet, but i am willing to tell them if the time is right.
