This is always just a stupid argument.
Most people have a friends list they like to play with or a set map they want to play, adding another game isn't going to change that. If you want to play Dead Air, you will be looking for Dead Air, not The Parish. It's getting mad if they just released a new map because now not everyone will be playing the old maps.
And even if it does split the userbase, who cares? That happens with any sequel so your best bet is to just get over it. There will still be people playing both.
