Like I said in another thread, if Valve came out with the exact same thing next November instead of this November people would be praising it as game of the year.

Just look at what they're giving you:

  • At least 4 new campaigns
  • New characters
  • New weapons
  • New boss zombies
  • Improved AI Director
  • Dynamically changing maps

This isn't just DLC they're giving us, they're giving us more than what was in L4D so it is in fact a sequel.

That's kind of what they promised L4D would received as DLC but it never really happened...that's mostly why some people are angry about Valve making a whole new game instead of add-ons for the first L4D.

I don't know what Valve has promised (people always talk about it but never actually link to what they promised) but what I said above is a new full game. 

It's pretty silly to exapct that as a simple $5 DLC because, again, it's a full game.  Look at almost any other sequel and tell me what does more and how much time did they have to do that in.
