The KZ devs were making KZ2 before the PS3 came out to the public. All companies whom Sony own have access to the type of hardware that the company will be using before the development starts. Really...think about how long these companies knew. Give me a break. Forza 3 releases faster because the devs create the games at 2 year intervals consistantly while delivering quality. Forza 3 is a whole new game on a whole new engine, which is far beyond past efforts.

Gran Turismo-1997

Gran Turismo 2-1999 (2 years)

Gran Turismo 3-2001 (2 years between two different systems, so your theory is bullshit. Polyphony had access to the PS2 far before it came out in 2000)

Gran Turismo 4-2005 (4 years in between while on the same console. By 2005 Sony had released the specs of the PS3 to the world, and devs were hard at work making titles for the PS3 already)

Gran Turismo 5-TBA 2009-2010 (Release date of the long awaited franchise)

....Don't give me the Xbox 360 had a year head start bullshit, because the Forza franchise hasn't yet broken the 2 year intervals.

Do you know what much faster it was to model the cars and tracks back then?

For GT3 they need 1 day to model 1 car for a person, for GT5 they need a month to model a car and 6 months to model a track.

There was no evidence that PD started the development for GT5 right after GT4 is out.

Sony announced the spec for the PS3 on E3 2005, the PS3 was still a prototype and the SDK wasn't announced yet.

PD released 4 different products in between GT4 and GT5.

Forza said the graphic engine was rebuilt, graphic engine is only a part of the game engine.
