well id love to hear a propper retort rather than the childish:"nananana i dont hear you"...While i can partially understand your question due to your lack of knowledge of the ips nintendo is releasing, your logic of them following" the lead" of companies that arent developing their own games falls terribly flat.

Don't get me wrong I don't usualy ignore people's points it's just that i don't think yours are well thought out enough to respond to , your making it an issue of sales performance which is somewhat irrelevant to the core of my argument.

Well i think is that you arent seeing the whole picture. My points are on spot due to sales having a lot to do with your question. Nintendo, which is developing new ips as other posters can confirm, also needs to spend time keeping its old franchises alive and fresh. This worked for them as they are selling quite better than anything the competition came to.Theres a limit about how much a developer can do at a time.

You gotta make money:you spend time producing and selling old famous franchises.Nintendo is busy doing that.

On the other side; you make ips. They are doing them, busy too.

Theres only so much a single company can do at a time. They really dont have much of a need to buy rights or exclusivities from third party teams(something they barely have done very few times). They are making good money, creating ips, preparing for the future, and developing new technologies to support new innovative products. Suda51 expressed interest in using the Vital and Nintendo is preparing fresh ips for it as well.

From a business standpoint, they will push new ips when they need to.Sales are important because thats what keeps a company alive.
