I would have thought the Metroid games would be the ones most likely to attract the HD-only crowd. But not many are going to invest in a console for the sake of just a few games - if Nintendo really are interested in getting the HD crowd to become PSWii/Wii60 gamers, there needs to be a decent library of quality core games. Reviews so far do not suggest that The Conduit comes anywhere close to the quality of titles like Bioshock or The Orange Box, and as for RE:TDC and Dead Space Wii... since when did lightgun games become (hard)core? Metroid Prime 3/Trilogy are excellent core games that use a compelling control scheme not yet possible on other consoles. Metroid: Other M looks like it could be another excellent core game. I suppose you could throw Zelda into the mix as well, but beyond those titles, I'm not sure that the Wii has much to offer (of comparable quality to the HD systems) to a gamer who is only really interested in shooting/driving/fighting games. It also doesn't look like there are many titles on the horizon to change that state of affairs, though I would enjoy being wrong.
