That kid might not have the same childhood that alot of us here had but if he's happy doing what he does, then that's cool and he should keep at it. I just thought his comment was a little silly. I don't judge whether what others do is a waste of time or not. |
I consider myself a hedonist, to the most part, but like you I won't compromise other people and do immoral things to get the utmost maximum pleasure. Trying to quantify pleasure is just ridiculous. If anything, like Calvin and Hobbes said, when you make an effort to have fun, it's not fun.
But on the other hand, let's say we can quantify fun. No matter what, when we die, X/0=0 or if we consider it X/Infinity, then it'll pretty much approach 0.
