WHY IS IT A MMO?

I don't get why do people think this will be the same as FF XI. The current state of console gaming is so different then it was back when FF XI came out. In fact, I think that with the current online capacity of consoles, it is the perfect timing to ''start'' MMO gaming on consoles.
