You do realsie GT was alone for a very long time right???
Why would they give GT4's competitor Forza 1 to perspective buyers if it wasnt a proven series???? Even though Forza 1 got a better metacritic. If Forza 3 becomes the nail in GT's coffin ( Not gonna happen ) then Froza 3 would be given to perspective buyers instead. It's all about time and place. Forza 1 was the more real sim than GT4 was, and they made changes to F2 dramatically. Tyres are the most crucial part of a car for handling. As an F1 lover I know thats the case. If GT5 doesnt have it in, then it just wont be as realsitic. Car handling is one thing, tyre choice and degredation are another.
