Even with a change of government we will see this as Labour have left a mess. It matters because it can only be repaid from a combination of increased tax and spending cuts... so incresased taxes for everyone and cuts in health and education (our biggest budgets). |
why cant we just take longer to pay it back, and raise taxes for the rich rather than taxing the poor more and cutting essentail public services?
