Their innovation is actually releasing a game. |
Well compare to last GT game (including Prologue) it have a better on-line , better community support (check out T10 site for photo contest), awesome photomode, liveries edition, car auction house not to mention thing like damage, tire physics.
There were thing in Forza 2 that were crap like career mode that pretty much copy of Forza 1 and GT and from what I read Forza 3 will have a real robust career path. It look like they borrow a lot of stuff from PGR team (another great game that pretty much got ignore by so many), the race calendar sound like a real cool feature where you get schedule of events to compete (PGR does that to the extends) but it sound like it would now incorporate any DLC and cars into the mix (hope this is true because Forza 2 DLC track implementation was just pure suck). I wish they would implements also GRID style of sponsorship. In Forza 2 sponsor ship was pretty lame where you just get discount, GRID sponsor was probaby some of the best too bad the car in that game drive like you are on a sheet of ice.
Anyway, seems pretty innovate. I just put in GT4 (yes four) the other day just to play around, the interface is awesome (better than Forza 1) and very classy just like GT5P but the license test crap was just so boring. If GT5 doesn't bring new way to race then ...
