Seems like Natal is really catching fire. I'm really surprised.

Although basically, the grades all reflect how much interest these magazines have in each manufacturer. They all seem to be Microsoft > Sony >>> Nintendo, which is more or less how these groups work outside E3, and how they work in E3, too.

From what i saw, i would say Sony > Nintendo = Microsoft. But Natal didn't really light my fire. I've been wary of this camera technology since EyeToy, and i really don't see why Natal's going to make all the difference that the EyeToy and the Eye failed to do. Unless Microsoft moves to make a fundamental shift in their internal development philosophy, Natal is going to remain small potatoes to them, a side project, a diversion. It definitely shows promise, though. EyeToy Kinetic did it before, but this could really improve the exergaming genre, as well as the sports sim. It's there, but i don't see the zomg factor there. As for the rest of Microsoft's products, they were mostly things we already knew about. It was a good, diverse balance of titles, though, and Shadow Complex was definitely fresh.

Meanwhile, Nintendo shows technology that is here and now, with real software. They also did an excellent job in balancing their core/casual offerings. Their problems might be a lack of original technology, but their show was rife with surprises from every quarter. A strong showing of new stuff.

Sony really pulled out the stops, between new hardware, new software, and their efforts in getting personalities like Kojima-san involved, i think they were over the top.

But then again, the media also said that Microsoft won 2007, which clearly wasn't the case (they were definitely last place in 07, since they had very little original content there)
