The PSP Go is probably priced as $250 to subsidize the losses they'll need to take from a PS3 price cut. I'm sure they'll cut PSP Go's price pretty quick if it doesn't sell well, but it could still backfire if people subconsciously associate the PSP Go with "expensive" (as may also have happened with the PS3).

PSP Go is targeting at people who are willing to pay full RRP prices on digital content which cannot be resold or rented. It's no suprise Sony decided they can try milking this audience on hardware too
