Actually, he was just putting Sony fanboys in their place. I tend to agree with everything he said, and find it relevant.

Fanboys tend to agree with fanboys, why is he talking out of his about Natal? This is a thread about the PS Eye, not even about the dildo wand.....

The OP showed the Eye Toy camera, which is exactly what was shown this E3. Do you think those PS3 cups are moving with just hands? The PS3 eye toy has to have recievers in or on the players hands. It has to have focal points. It cant pick up bare hand movement. So yes it is exactly the same as the E3 2009 Dildo wands. just most probably a different design for the cup demo. Seeing this is 2005 in the OP I'm amazed how little it's come on in 4 years. They still had big issues with the tracking in E309 demo. like object connection etc. E309 footage and those cups from 2005 are done exactly the same way.

So my post was saying to the op who said this is impressive tech, actually after Natal it's anything but impressive. Thats just the way technology is.

Exactly this is a thread about the Eye Toy and the PS Eye camera, it's not exactly what they showed at E3, at E3 they showed the Dildo wand 1:1 motion controller, why is it so hard for you to understand? Of course Natal is more advanced than The Eye, but it's not that much more advanced, if Sony revamps The Eye and puts another camera there for depth and reworks the embedded mic in order for it to get voice recognition, it's pretty much the same.
Again, this thread is about the existing PS Eye, if it'll make you feel any better I can make a thread about Natal and then you can bask in all of its glory over there, I'll even include a real working tech demo from Toshiba that does full 3D body tracking instead of a PR bot talking up a video full of actors.
