Hard Drives also are not mandatory with the most popular 360 model. An MMO will assuredly require an install of some sort (FFXI has a 9.5gb install for 360). Who knows what FFXIV will demand. All of this equals a gamer paying more charges if they want to play FFXIV, when they could be playing it for much less.

This could be the strongest reason for FFXIV being PS3/PC exclusive...

Okay...this is were things diverge...I THOUGHT the topic was one of FF XI and other MMO cost models for XBL, not some general rant about having to pay for XBL Gold membership?  I, and MILLIONS of other players have no problem paying the $40 bucks a year for it, so this is a complete apple and oranges discussion.

The thread is about FF XIV's exclusivity. I layed out the example of XI and reasonable hinderances of XIV being on 360. THIS is the point of the entire argument at hand.

lol, what? Maybe instead of claiming everyone to be a fanboy, why not try coming up with a reasonable argument? Because right now it is looking like you have no refute to my claim. The only thing you base your comment on is that I am a PS3 fan. WOW, is that a crime? Does that make my argument any less valid? NO. Get over yourself....

My point is that your point about XBL fees being added onto the monthly fee for FF MMO subscription are completely false!  I'm not sure what's there to debate...you are wrong on this point, and your assumption were wrong, and you have been mis-informed.  So, if that's the understanding of this point, then we can agree completely.
