No.  They are going for a more God of War/Legend of Zelda thing in terms of direction.  They are totally reinventing the franchise which is good because as good as the post SotN games have been, they are starting to fell same-y which is why a fresh start is great.  There will be a small group that will whine about this while the rest of us will give it a fair shot before taking shots at it(that is..if it doesn't turn out good).

Great, exactly what I wanted to hear! Good old Castlevania action is going to come back for sure that means (a few weapon upgrades and power-ups is about as much RPG-elements it would need to be honest).
