The only real flaw with both (I will assume they will work as advertised, I'd be surprised if they didn't) is that it's too late. If they're laying the ground work for the next gen, then it's a good game plan. Work the kinks out now. But to think either will be a game changer, I think it's impossible. Nintendo kind of understood that. I mean the remote was originally a GC add on, but they knew to wait. Or took the chance, and it paid off. And they made it the man input device to control games on their new system.

Both MS and Sony's new controls have potential, but they'll rely too much on third parties who aren't big on risks. So I don't think we'll see much in the way of epic gaming. Next gen, if both companies bring these new devices over to their new systems, then it'll be interesting to see.

 

As for all the HD fanboys you mention ... you're right, where are they? First all this talk of Nintendo killing gaming, and "God I hope MS doesn't get into motion control!" I hear nothing about the end of gaming now. All I hear is "360 will outsell Wii!" Hmm.
