But this is Facebook straight to your TV! You get to browse and view pictures and all that jazz without all the annoying ads! And you can take in game screen caps and post directly to Facebook in some upcoming games!

I agree, a browser is not needed, but if all you want is to check facebook in between a quick gaming session, this is very convenient. Also, it makes sharing stuff like photos and videos from facebook with the whole family a lot easier.

I dunno. I think it's even more useless than a web browser on a console.

For most people, their PC is no more than a 10 second walk from their console. I'm sure we'd all agree that it's much easier to use Facebook on a computer than it is anywhere else.

Being able to order pizza from my 360 would be convienient too... but the phone is just a few steps away.

And getting up to manual change the channel is just 2 steps away.  And getting up to go get food is a 5 second walk.

Gamers are lazy.  Anything they can manage to do without having to get up is a benefit to them.

If you want to use the excuse that they can just "get up and go to another location to do something" then you must also see how swapping discs should be no problem.

I'm not saying it would be easier.  We don't know the full details, but from what I saw, just browsing facebook and viewing large pictures and things seems much easier and very convenient to do from your 360.  Typing out long messages may not be unless you hookup a keyboard or that chat pad thing.

Most big name pizza places now offer online ordering, by the way, so ordering pizza through a console would just need a browser, or in the case of a 360, another simple application (but that would be overdoing it).  I'm just saying that people are lazy and would rather continue staying in the same spot they are in than move to a different location to access the same stuff.
