^ I wouldn't say the boy's appearance reminds me of animes really. Both in ICO and Shadow of the Colossus the human figures have this flat, desaturated, almost ethereal style, and it looks like they're going with this choice again.
It's as if they're less real than ICO's castle, the colossi, or the rat-gryphon creature, which all appear extremely material.
